Adult General Psychiatry Unit

It includes four treatment teams, and this unit specializes in treating mental illnesses for adults from 18-64 years old, and includes outpatient clinics and inpatient wards

The unit specializes in treating and rehabilitating patients with drug and alcohol addiction.

Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Unit

The unit serves children and adolescents up to the age of 17.

The service consists of two treatment teams, outpatient clinics and admission for those 13 years and over, until the evening shift.

AlMoayyed  Addiction Rehabilitation Unit

The unit specializes in treating and rehabilitating patients with drug and alcohol addiction.

Anxiety Clinic

This clinic specializes in treating psychological anxiety, obsessive-compulsive disorder, and panic conditions, in addition to behavioral therapy and relaxation therapy.

Psychogeriatric Unit

 This team specializes in psychological treatment for the elderly 65 and over through:

Outpatient clinic

Home visits and community service

Psychological counseling for the elderly in the Salmaniya Medical Complex

Follow-up cases in care homes

Providing counseling and psychological treatment at the Salmaniya Medical Complex for inpatients, and it is carried out by the specialized team to cover all psychological cases in the Accident and Emergency Department during official working hours.

Community Psychiatric Medicine

Providing psychological services and home follow-up through two morning and evening teams.

Day Care: Day care activities for patients.

Liaison Psychiatric Medicine

Providing counseling and psychological treatment at the Salmaniya Medical Complex for inpatients, and it is carried out by the specialized team to cover all psychological cases in the Accident and Emergency Department during official working hours.

Psychiatric Long-Stay Care

Services are provided to long-stay inpatients. The services include:

• Periodic review of the state of mental patients

• Follow-up of chronic organic diseases

• Make a nutritional program for those whose condition requires it.

• Coordinating with the entire treatment team members to achieve rehabilitation goals and linking the behavioral modification program with financial support under the supervision of rehabilitation specialists.

• Encouraging patients to have positive behavior

Intellectual Disability Unit

The unit provides care for patients with learning problems and intellectual disability problems:

Counseling / liaison for patients with intellectual disability

Caring for patients with intellectual disabilities and providing home visits.

Inpatient: long stay rehabilitation.

Day care: Rehabilitation of patients during the day.

Forensic Psychiatric Medicine Unit

The unit provides its services to cases referred by the interior authorities, and communicates with the concerned organizations  regarding the required reports.

Evening Clinic for Psychiatric Consultations

Services are provided after official working hours, at a rate of three days a week, and in most specializations.

Mental health clinics in primary health care

Providing psychological treatment services in health centers on specific days per week in all governorates, through the following health centers:

- Youssef Abdel Rahman Engineer Health Center

Department of Rehabilitation and Occupational Therapy Services

Sports and recreational facilities in the multi-purpose Hall.

Providing physiotherapy, occupational therapy, and speech and language therapy services. Services include:

• Applying specialized functional and psychological assessments to inpatients and outpatients.

• Treatment and Rehabilitation: Providing different types of treatment and rehabilitation for patients. Including training in daily living activities, recreational activities, work-related skills...etc.

• Managing the patient rewards program according to an integrated and coordinated protocol with the wards to reward patients who perform vocational work within the hospital.

Clinical Psychology Unit

Providing sessions, psychological tests, and individual and group therapy sessions.

 Nutrition clinic

Providing a nutrition clinic for cases that need a diet.

Social Services Unit

The unit provides social services to all departments. Services include:

• Review of the patients' social aspect: social history and evaluation

• Interaction and communication: providing communication and interaction between the patient, family and service providers.

• Communication with various institutions, including hospitals and departments related to various ministries. etc

• Home Visits: Visiting patients at home for evaluation

• Providing transportation and home delivery of patients in need.

Department of Nursing

The unit provides nursing care and services for the various departments

Outpatient: Nursing services in the treatment room, care and assessment of patients.

 Electroconvulsive therapy: scheduling sessions, preparing and following up the patient for recovery.

Community nursing teams: provide nursing services to the patient, nursing care, psychological assessments and treatment for patients.

Provide complete inpatient care.

Accompanying and providing care for patients when they are transferred to the various departments for review at the Salmaniya Medical Complex (SMC).

Pharmacy

Providing and administering medicines

Dispensing medicines to inpatients and outpatients

Infectious diseases unit

Follow-up cases of infectious diseases for inpatients and ensures implementation of infection control measures in all facilities of the hospital.
